Points of Learning
My main learning points in this training program are as follows. - Don't hesitate - Don't pretend to understand - Clarify the purpose. They apply to not only global communication, rather to Japanese internal communication. It stands to reason that they are essential in communication among people having different backgrounds. I have to carry out these fundamental things at first.
I learned many methods for communication with overseas people in this training but the important thing I learned is to need to change my mind-set of communication in English. Before I participated in the training, I did not have a confidence and I often said I did not have a chance to use English. But I found out this is excuses for myself. When I do not understand what they mean in English, I pretended to understand them and hesitate to ask them. The important thing is to seize a chance in various situation to improve myself or bettter-understanding in communication with others. And also this made me realize it does not matter if I can speak English fluently or not and I can build good relationship with positive word or even if without language. So I learned to change mind-set for communication in English through this training.
The key points of communication is equal between overseas and Japan. - Find common interests - Set the conclusion first, Time is money - Comfirm the meaning of words until I can understand - Don't hesitate.
The training program was amazing! Bryan had accurately gotten all the points that the employees working in global departments that are not in supervising position in our company face and have to deal with daily.
